I have a lot of interests to keep me busy, but my favorite hobby is my family. My wife and I both like shopping for (and collecting) antiques. Of course, we usually end up with a lot of "junk" and ultimately sell it or give it away. Listed below are some of my hobbies to keep me busy:
- Antiques
- Bike riding - we just bought new bikes for the family and we will be out a lot this year
- Cars - I have owned a lot of cars (Volvos, Volkswagens, a BMW 750, a Saab, Hondas, and others)
- Photography - I am a big fan of Nikon cameras and I own a Nikon D60 digital SLR. I hope to get the D90 soon. I plan on making a site dedicated to various pictures soon
- Travelling - I have travelled to nearly every state with only a few left to visit (Alaska, Hawaii, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Vermont). The only foreign countries I have been to are Canada and Mexico. I hope to visit Europe someday.
- Sports - My favorite teams are: Denver Broncos (NFL), Detroit Tigers (MLB), Detroit Red Wings (NHL), Detroit Pistons (NBA), and University of Michigan teams.
- Geeky stuff - I pretty much like anything electronic. I am typically an early adopter of new gadgets such as the the Droid, Blue Ray, and cool TVs. I also try to keep up with web stuff so I know what is going on. I used to build desktop computers but I just buy laptops now because they are better and faster.
So, that's about it. I think that pretty much sums me up as a geek. I hope to add a motorcycle to my collection soon. Of course it will be vintage, such as a BSA, Triumph, or anything from Cafe Racer in Ypsilanti, MI
